Surgical Services

We put your pet's health and wellness first, with our dedicated anaesthetic and surgical care. Your pet will receive treatment that is right for them.

Before any surgical procedure, we conduct a thorough pre-operative evaluation, which may include diagnostic imaging and blood tests, to ensure your pet is healthy and prepared and fit for surgery. During surgery, our team utilises modern equipment and adheres to strict protocols to minimise risk and maximise safety.

Soft tissue surgeries:

Addressing conditions such as tumours, gastrointestinal issues, skin disorders and advanced surgeries

Orthopaedic surgeries

Including fracture repairs, ligament repairs (such as cruciate ligament), and joint surgeries.

Rabbit & rodent medicine and surgery

  • Preventive care: We emphasise the importance of regular health checks and rabbit vaccinations to prevent common diseases in rabbits and rodents.

  • Dental care: Diagnosing and treating dental issues, which are common in these species due to their constantly growing teeth.

  • Nutritional guidance: Tailored nutritional advice to ensure your pet's diet meets their specific dietary needs.

  • Behavioural counselling: Guidance on understanding and managing the unique behaviours of rabbits and rodents.

  • Surgical and medical treatments: We are equipped to handle medical conditions and perform surgeries when necessary.

Post-Op Care

We implement and promote the 'Zero Pain Philosophy', which aims to deliver better pain management for animals after surgery and improve their quality of life.

After surgery, we provide thorough post-operative care and pain relief to ensure your pet's comfort and recovery. We'll also provide you with detailed instructions for at-home care and follow-up appointments as needed.

At The Vet House, we understand that surgical procedures can be a stressful time for both you and your pet. We are here to guide you through the process and provide compassionate support as well as clear communication throughout the surgical process.
